Scorching summer ravages Capital

There is no respite from the scorching summer in the city as weathermen have predicted that heat waves will continue till the weekend. The maximum temperature on Monday was recorded as 44.5 degree Celsius which was five points above normal. According to weathermen, Palam was the hottest in the city with maximum temperature of 46.1 degree Celsius, followed by 45.8 degree Celsius in Ayanagar and 44.9 degree Celsius in Gurgaon and Narela. The average maximum temperature on Monday was however 0.1 degree Celsius below the maximum temperature on Sunday but it was the hottest working day of the season. On Tuesday, the maximum and minimum temperature would hover around 45 and 30 degree Celsius respectively.
