Sarbjit movie poster unveiled

BJP president Amit Shah and Union Minister of Road, Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Monday launched the first official poster of filmmaker Omung Kumar’s upcoming biographical drama film Sarbjit at Shah’s residence here. Also present at the venue were actores Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Richa Chadha, actor Darshan Kumar and movie producers Bhushan Kumar, Vashu Bhagnani and Sandeep Singh.

Sarbjit tells the story of Sarabjit Singh, an Indian farmer who was convicted of terrorism and spying in Pakistan and was sentenced to death. 

He was attacked by inmates at a prison in Lahore in April 2013 and died a few days later. The film will be narrated through the perspective of the victim’s sister Dalbir Kaur.

The first poster of the film gives a glimpse of Aishwarya as Dalbir Kaur.
