Sarada: EB club secy summoned by CBI

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has summoned East Bengal club secretary Kalyan Majumdar in connection with the Saradha scam.

It may be mentioned that the central investigating agency had earlier arrested Debabrata Majumdar. It was learnt that CBI officials came to know that some email ids of the club were made inoperative after the Saradha scam came to light. It has also been alleged that many important emails were deleted.

The CBI officials could interrogate Kalyan in this connection. They might ask the club secretary as why the emails Ids were made non-functional. The CBI has asked Majumdar to retrieve information and submit them before it before next Monday.
