Sanjay Dutt appreciates Mamata Banerjee’s developmental works

“She asked me to be present in the Kolkata International Film Festival and I will be surely attending the event,” he said. He said: “The last time I came to the city was for the making of the film Parineeta that was released in 2005. Now I was really amazed to see the development that has taken place in the past few years. I saw the changes while coming from the airport.”

He said that after witnessing the steps taken by the state government for the betterment of correctional home services, he also wants to work for the inmates in the correctional homes. He appreciated the steps taken by the state government to set up open air correctional homes.

Appreciating the way Banerjee is working round the clock for the development of the state, Dutt said: “Didi works for the people from all strata of the society. Besides the city, development has been brought to the villages as well,” he said.

Dutt said: “I had heard a lot about Didi from my father. She and Shatrughan Sinha were the only two personalities who stood by me in my odd days. I told her that I would always extend all my gratitude and support whenever she would ask me.”
