Sanjay Agarwal is new Chairman of NOIDA, GNIDA, YEIDA

Barely after a month of appointment, Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday shunted out senior IAS officer Praveer Kumar as Chairman of Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) as well as CEO of YEIDA as well. Kumar has been removed from his current posts and shifted as Chairman of UP state Transport Corporation, a release said here.

Sanjay Agarwal, who is currently serving as the Principal Secretary (power, industrial and infrastructure development, NRI department) and Chairman of UP Power Generation and Transmission Corporation has been appointed in place of Kumar. 

Agarwal, an IAS officer of 1984 batch is B.Tech & M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from IIT, Kanpur. 

A UP cadre IAS officer, Kumar worked on several important posts in the state and was also on Central deputation. He was CDO of Meerut from July, 1988 to May, 1990. He has held the post of Joint Secretary in the UP government from September, 1990 to July, 1993. He was assigned with the important and responsible job of Secretary to Chief Minister from May, 2001 to March, 2002. He went on deputation to Government of India as Development Commissioner (Handicraft), Ministry of Textiles, from January 2005 to August 2010.
