Sangeet Niketan celebrates 62nd year

Sangeet Niketan, one of the country’s oldest institutions in the field of promotion of classical music and dance, organised its 62nd annual celebrations at LTG Auditorium and Banga Sanskriti Bhavan. Chairman of Delhi Commission for Women, Barkha Singh, inaugurated the function at LTG Auditorium and former Principal of Modern School, Ved Vyas, inaugurated the function at Banga Sanskriti Bhavan.  Students of all three branches (central, south and east Delhi) of this institution presented a numbers of spell-bounding performances based on classical dance and music on both the occasions.  Sangeet Niketan was established in 1950 by an eminent artiste of Jal Tarang, late Gulab Rai.
