Salman comment unfortunate, insensitive: Aamir Khan

At the poster launch of Dangal here, Aamir was asked about his reaction to Salman’s comment which stirred up a hornet’s nest.

Aamir said, “I feel.... I was not present there... (But) going by the media reports, what he has said is rather unfortunate or rather insensitive.”

Asked if he spoke to his Andaaz Apna Apna co-actor or gave him any advice, Aamir said, “No I didn’t speak to him... And who am I to give him advice.”

Aamir says that he wanted to do this film when he was aged 60 years. “I had this thing in my mind that I will do this film after five-six years when I will be 60.

I was scared that if I play an old man’s role now then tactically it won’t be right... Then I called Nitesh (Tiwari) again and said I want to hear the story again. After that I decided to leave the logic behind and do the film,” he said.

Aamir plays both the younger and older characters of Mahavir Singh Phogat in the film, and he had put on weight up to 95 kg and is currently in the process of bringing it down to around 70 kg.
