Sainik farm guard killed for saying no to sex

Afraid of being exposed after demanding sex from a security guard in Sainik Farm, a 22-year-old man killed him, said police. The body of the victim was found on Thursday.

The accused, Suraj Sharma hails from Katihar in Bihar and is currently residing at the farm house, said Chhaya Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Police (south).

Sharma worked at W-13/18, Sainik Farm as a security guard. The victim Baccha Ram Yadav, who hails from Balrampur in Uttar Pradesh, also resided in the same house.

Sharma was on duty from 8 pm to 8 am on Wednesday. ‘The family of the victim had gone to their native place and the victim was sleeping,’ said a police officer.

Sharma then went to Yadav’s room in an inebriated condition to ask for a match box. ‘Then he proposed Yadav to have sex with him. Yadav refused and slapped him and took out a knife to save himself,’ said the officer.

Sharma tried to snatch the knife and in this scuffle, sustained injury. The victim ran towards the main gate to save himself.

‘Sharma was following him with a lathi and when the victim reached near the gate, he hit him on head. Yadav fell down and Sharman kept on hitting him. He also hit him with a brick. Yadav died on the spot,’ said the officer.

Then Sharma shouted for help, pretending that Yadav was unconsciousness. Police took both of them to hospital, where Yadav was declared dead on arrival and Sharma escaped. The accused was, however, arrested from south Delhi.
