Safety starts at the top, ONGC CMD reminds co-workers

‘I am not only the CMD of the company but also the chief safety officer, because safety is of vital importance to the company’, said CMD Sudhir Vasudeva, while inaugurating the one day basic training workshop for offshore going contractual workers at Juhu Helibase, Mumbai.
‘With a vision to make ONGC a world class organization in all respects, we still have a lot of ground to cover when it comes to safety being of paramount importance. It has to be drilled into our mindsets that safety of operations and procedures ought to be ensured under all circumstances’, Vasudeva stated.
Vasudeva urged the contractors to not become complacent and rather collaborate in this sphere also by contributing to ONGC’s goal of achieving a target of zero fatality in its operations, as every life is precious.
