Russian Embassy vehicle rams into car, two hurt

Two persons were injured when their car was hit by a speeding car allegedly belonging to the Russian Embassy at South Delhi’s Chanakyapuri area in the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday.

The Russian Embassy car collided with a police barricade at 12.30 am before it hit the car in which a husband and wife were injured. The couple’s car was at the police barricade.

According to police officials, four Russian nationals, including their driver were in the car which was on its way to the Russian Embassy. The couple’s car was undergoing a routine check at the police barricade.

The couple was heading towards Ghaziabad after attending a party in Vasant Kunj. They received minor injuries and were given treatment at a nearby hospital. According to the police, the driver of the Embassy car has been booked under sections of rash and negligent driving.
