Rs 10k, laptop, 3 mobiles stolen from staff residence at Mauritius High Commission

Three mobile phones, one laptop and cash worth Rs 10,000 were stolen from the staff residence of an official at the Mauritius High Commission on the intervening night of October 25 and 26 from the 
high security zone of Lutyens’ Delhi. 

Police have registered a case but no arrests have been made thus far. According to the police, the incident took place at the residence of the complainant, V Segobin Maulho. 

In his complaint, Maulho said that the front door of his first floor residence as well as the door of the terrace were discovered to be open in the early hours of Sunday. 

He found that their mobile phones, a laptop and cash worth Rs 10,000 was missing from the house.
Based on the complain, they registered a complaint at the Chanakyapuri police station against the unidentified accused.

A senior police official confirmed that the theft took place within the premises of the Mauritius High 
Commission and a case of theft under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code has been registered. Investigation of the case is underway.
