Rohtak sisters case: Court allows polygraph test

A local court on Monday granted permission to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Haryana Police to conduct polygraph test on the two Rohtak sisters and their alleged molesters.

Consent had been sought from the victims to conduct lie-detector test on them, to which they agreed, the victims’ lawyer told reporters.

He said SIT’s investigating officer Manjeet Singh had sought the consent from the victims.

The SIT, which had been set up after the incident, had sought request from a local court to conduct a polygraph test on five persons — the two girls and the three alleged accused, which was granted.

The case had recently grabbed headlines after two sisters thrashed their alleged molesters on a moving Haryana Roadways bus, but later came under criticism after conflicting versions of the incident emerged.
