Rock On 2 is a well-woven story: Purab Kohli

Actor Purab Kohli, who will be seen in Rock On 2, says the sequel is not made just for the heck of it but has a good story. In Rock On 2, Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Prachi Desai, Purab Kohli will reprise their roles from the first part. Actor Shraddha Kapoor is the new addition to the cast.

“The film (Rock On 2) is a good sequel. Unlike most sequels in India where it’s just a title and a completely different film, Rock On 2 is a well-woven story of characters you knew and loved and have grown and evolved, and you see a tale from another time in their lives,” said Purab.

The second instalment of the musical drama film, directed by Shujaat Saudagar and produced by Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani, is slated to release this November. “We had great time working on this film. Excel Entertainment (producers) worked towards getting the right quality film that has great story and talented actors,” Purab said. 

Besides Rock On 2, Purab will be seen in international TV series ‘Sense8’. He will also be seen in a TV show directed by Nikhil Advani.

‘Sense8’ is an American science-fiction-drama web television series which is about a group of people around the world who are suddenly linked mentally, and must find a way to survive when they are being hunted by those who see them as a threat to the world’s order. In Nikhil’s show, the former VJ-model will play the role of a Punjabi prisoner. 

Purab Kohli, who is most memorably remembered for his High School role in 90’s iconic show ‘Hip Hip Hurray’ is planing special surprise for the ardent fan of the show. Purab has been planning to put together a way to give the audience to see their favourite youth show together once again. We hear the cast is planning to shoot a video together soon which will bring back them together from the old days. 

The actor has been spending personal time to make this happen. “Whatever be it, we are most certain excited,” Purab says. 

He meets so many HHH fans where ever he goes, that sometime fans come up and sing the title track to him. He gets so much love because of ‘Hip Hip Hurray’ which was shot 17 years ago, he feels it would be great to know what the real cast is up to right now. And what better way to hear it from the cast itself. 

But they are all spread out and some not even acting anymore so it seems like a tough task to get them all together. Now it is a long wait to see if he does manage to get 

something from them.
