Robber flees after cops take him to hospital

Arrested on charges of auto theft, a <g data-gr-id="13">robber</g> of North-west Delhi’s Jahangirpuri area, who was under judicial custody of Delhi Police, fled while he was coming back with two police constables from a government hospital where he was taken for a medical examination, police confirmed.

“Escorted by two police officials for a medical examination in a North-west Delhi hospital, a small time robber escaped from the hospital after he managed to free himself from the judicial custody,” said Vijay Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police, (North-west).

This reflects <g data-gr-id="19">on </g>the lack of alacrity on the part of the Delhi Police.

According to the police official, the incident took place when the robber, Shahid Ula (24) was taken by two constables to Babu Jag Jivan Ram hospital on the night of September 25, the same night he was apprehended. 

He was able to free his hands from the clutches of the two <g data-gr-id="22">constables,</g> and managed to flee taking advantage of the darkness. The two constables are, Ram Swaroop and Subhash.
