RKM students shine in HS exam

Dibyakanti Dolui has scored 487 with 97.4 per cent marks and he secured sixth position. Saptarshi Roy and Pritam Sahoo of Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission have both scored 486 with 97.2 per cent marks. Four students of Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission have got eighth rank with 485 marks. They are Soumen Ghosh, Subham Saha, Subhojit Sen and Anirban Panda.

Anit Bhattacharya of Ramakrishna Mission Boys’ Home, Rahara has scored 483 along with Arghadeep Das of Sarisha Ramakrishna Mission and Anubhab Das of Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission.

It may be noted that RKM Narendrapur had done extremely well in HS examinations in 2015. In Madhyamik examinations, whose results were out on May 10, only one student had got rank but out of 116 students, 115 of them got more than 75 per cent marks. Sixty seven students got full marks in Mathematics while 29 students got full marks in Physical Science.

Swami Sarvagananda, secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Narendrapur said the results were as per expectations. Earlier, the students studying in the science stream used to give more stress on IIT and joint entrance examinations neglecting their high secondary studies. But now they are putting equal stress for both high secondary studies and IIT and joint entrance examination.

Mock tests are held on all the subjects. But special emphasis is given on literature, that is, Bengali and English where the students are getting high marks and that have helped them to improve upon their aggregates.

Sarvaganandaji said the students were being looked after and throughout the year they were involved in studies. Narendrapur RKM is famous for its excellence and its students are holding key posts at various institutions in the country and abroad.
