RITES engineers seek design for Chingrighata flyover from KMDA

The senior engineers from the RITES, engaged to look into the condition of the flyover have sought the design of the Chingrighata flyover from the KMDA officials as they would like to examine the structure of the flyover.

After a crack was spotted on the wall of the flyover, KMDA officials reached the spot on June 2 and examined the crack. After the examination was over they said that the crack which was found on a side wall of the flyover at Salt Lake was not a big damage and it would not lead to the collapse of the bridge.

They also assured that they had checked the entire structure of the Chingrighata flyover and termed the crack developed under the railing as a common and natural one. They also suspected that the crack might have developed on the outside plaster on an expansion due to weather change.
