Rights platform fields 2 candidates

A rights platform has decided to field two candidates in theforth coming Assembly elections.

Professor of Jadavpur University Ambikesh Mahapatra, will contest from Behala Purba Assembly constituency. Another candidate, Pratima Dutta, wife of murdered environment activist Tapan Dutta, will contest from Domjur Assembly constituency in Howrah.

Interestingly, neither CPI(M) nor Congress had announced candidates in these two Assembly seats allowing the aforementioned candidates to go for a direct contest against Trinamool Congress.
