Richard Linklater in talks to direct Lawrence’s next flick

Boyhood director Richard Linklater is in negotiations to helm Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence-<g data-gr-id="13">starrer</g> The Rosie Project.
Linklater, 54, is Sony Pictures’ current frontrunner to direct the film, which is an adaptation of Australian writer Graeme Simsion’s popular novel of the same name, reported Entertainment Weekly.
The film chronicles a socially awkward genetics professor, who develops an elaborate questionnaire to determine his ideal mate and falls in love with Rosie (Lawrence), who is the opposite of <g data-gr-id="15">every thing</g> on his checklist.
(500) Days of Summer screenwriters Michael H Weber and Scott Neustadter will adapt the novel.
Earlier, The Lego Movie” helmers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller exited the project to direct the Star Wars spinoff about a young Han Solo.
