Revisiting the countryside

Different approach, skill, method and an individual’s perspective makes an artwork different and unique. To put different perspectives under one umbrella, a group exhibition comprising paintings and sculptures will be held in the national Capital.

Curated by Priyanka Banerjee, the group exhibition titled- ‘A Pastoral Pursuit’ will be inaugurated on April 10. The artists participating in the event are Mridul Chakraborty, Nilay Sarkar, Meghna Agarwal, Abid Zaidi, Dheeraj Modanwal, Anuja Sane, Shyam Porwal, Rajeev Semwal, Naseem Khan and Rinku Jha.

Sadaf Beg, Raashid Khan, Rama Sharma, Shalini Varshney, Rachana Vikas Gupta, J Nandkumar, Suryakant Tiwari, Jyoti Tyagi, Ramesh Tagad, Meena Wason, Ambareen D, Meenakshi Wadhawa and Rashmie Tyagi are also participating. The show is based on the theme of  ‘A Pastoral Pursuit’, where Priyanka aims to bring before the viewers the contemporary art by the talented artists.

In the collection there is realistic, abstract and semi abstract art. In a fast paced world, one has hardly the time to appreciate art. Priyanka Banerjee is known for her efforts to promote emerging artists, and in the same spirit, she presents yet another exhibition that highlights exciting talent from the city.

“Nowadays, people take pride in forgetting our rich cultural heritage and like aping the west. Our endeavour is to make people appreciate art and encourage the talent of the artists,” she said. It is a genuine effort to gather the art loving enthusiasts and provide them a platform to showcase their artworks and bring talents for the entire world to see and appreciate.

Satya Event & Exhibition Management Services (SEEMS) has not only held exhibitions but has also collaborated with various NGOs which champion social causes.

It promotes young artists without any monetary expectations and this association with the artists is reciprocated in the form of an everlasting relationship which they value.
