Reverberations of love in art

After a starry launch, artist Aruna Tiwari had a lot to smile about. Her collection Mesmerizing Reverberations of Love,  has already started garnering quite a bit of critical acclaim.

Hosted at Lalit Kala Academi, the solo show is a collection of acrylic on canvas artworks where Aruna uses semi-realistic techniques to showcase her creations.

Using bold and bright colours, Aruna uses line formations as well as space divisions to elaborate perspective in her works. Themed around women, the collection showcases feelings and their impact on the life of a woman, and uses bold strokes to bring out intense and focussed artworks. Portraying the journey of women from their childhood to the last stages of life, the exhibits portray the various expressions of love from a feministic perspective.

Attended by the art lovers and connoisseurs of the city, the opening evening saw Bollywood celebrities John Abraham, Sridevi, Bonny Kapoor13 April Low Resests which included politician Amar Singh, along with other Bureaucrats and IAS officers who came in to appreciate the works of art of the talented artist.

Talking of her experience, Artist Aruna Tewari said, 'It is an amazing feeling when your own art works are exhibited, and connoisseurs appreciate them. More than so the emotional high that one derives on viewing the pieces of her own creativity being up on display is a different feeling all together. It is an absolutely enthralling experience to see the glowing and proud faces of your near and dear ones, who come up to appreciate your art thus giving you that immense pleasure of being able to achieve something. Today is such a day for me.'

Aruna Tewari was born in November, 1974 in Kanpur. After arriving in Delhi in 2010 due to relocation of her spouse, she joined Delhi College of Arts (DCA), New Delhi for a two year course. During the period, she also participated in the group exhibitions where her works were deeply appreciated.
