Revenue dept puts 650 commercial vehicles on notice

The Delhi government’s Revenue Department has conducted a traffic enforcement drive to put a check on violations and served notice to as many as 650 commercial vehicles.

The drive, which was conducted at 100 locations on Saturday, was also used to spread awareness among drivers and permit holders of commercial vehicles on permit conditions.

According to the department, 2,000 vehicles such as autorickshaws, tempos, e-rickshaws, grameen seva vehicles and RTVs were inspected and notices were served to 660 for violation of various permit conditions. In North Delhi, 177 vehicles were inspected and 70 were put on notice for suspension of permit and impounding. In West Delhi, 106 vehicles were put on notice while in South-west Delhi, 103 were slapped with notice.
