Retd prof says husband murdered over property

A retired professor on Sunday filed a complaint at the Chanakyapuri police station for the alleged murder of her husband over property dispute.

In her complaint, Dr Rani Balbir kaur, a resident of Malcha Marg in Chanakyapuri has alleged that the accused had intimidated her by illegally tress-passing her property with goons and had also stolen articles from her house in her absence.

According to police sources, kaur has accused Jasmeet Marwah of allegedly killing her husband in her absence.  She alleged that Marwah killed her husband over property dispute.

She alleged that the accused forced her husband to sell off his property, which he refused. She told the police that this angered Marwah and he killed her husband.

She said the property belonged to her husband but a part of the ground floor belonged to her sister-in-law, Nirmaljyoti Ahuja. After convincing Ahuja to sell the property to him, Marwah tried to convince the complainant’s husband but he refused.

Kaur said Marwah and his son tried to build pressure on her husband by forcibly entering her house with goons.  She said that she was in Chnadigarh when the incident took place. When Kaur learnt that Marwah had barged into her house with goons, she returned from Chandigarh and registered a police complaint.

In her complaint, Kaur asked for police protection and is living in fear since the day her husband was allegedly murdered.
