Recent explosion result of failure of intelligence agencies: SP

Attributing the recent explosion in Roorkee which killed a school boy to the failure of intelligence agencies in Uttarakhand, Samajwadi Party on Tuesday asked the state government to keep a tab on the activities of “controversial organisations”.

In a memorandum submitted to Governor Aziz Qureshi, a SP delegation led by state party chief Satyanarayan Sachan ascribed the explosion to the failure of intelligence agencies which led to the death of a 12-year-old boy.

Demanding a compensation to the next of kin of the deceased boy, the party asked the government to keep an eye on the activities of “controversial organisations”.

The delegation also asked the state government through the memorandum to investigate how a “controversial organisation” got the permission to commemorate demolition of the Babri mosque as ‘shaurya diwas’ on Saturday.

A low-intensity explosion about 100 metres from a VHP rally venue on December 6 last had
killed a 12-year-old schoolboy at Roorkee in Haridwar district.
