Real Sultans in Dangal

Wrestler Jagdish will be seen executing a small role in Sultan as Salman’s (Sultan) coach whereas Kripa Shankar is depicted as a refree in Dangal.

Sharing his experience with the actors,  Jagdish urged people to ‘‘go and watch’’ movie as a lot of hard work had gone into the making of Sultan and both the leads Salman and Anushka had undergone rigorous training. Salman and  Anushka will be fighting the national and international wrestlers in the film. Special screening of Sultan was carried out in 4 cities of Delhi,Pune,Rohtak and Indore by ‘Yashraj Films’ for wrestlers from countryside yesterday.

Kripa Shankar appreciated the fact that wrestling has been given a new identity. “Wrestling is now a globally accepted sport”., said Shankar who stars in Aamir Khan- starrer Dangal. Kripa said “ I gained a new type of experience while training these actors. Same schedule was followed up with the actors in Dangal that the Senior Bhartiya Women team coach follows during the course of training for Olympics.

“Initially less intense workout was a strategy but then after few months workout became more intense and strict diet and discipline were the key ingredients. Besides having a muscular body and gaining body weight, Aamir Khan will be seen with the combination of strength and speed. People will come out mouth-open after watching Dangal”.

Both wrestlers -cum -coaches are involving themselves in ‘Luv Kush Ramleela’ this year. Many Bollywood Stars will also join hands with few other wrestlers apart from Kripa and Jagdish . Kripa will be playing the role of Mareech while Jagdish will stun the audience by depicting himself as Ahiravan.
Wrestling is not easy. It takes lot of hardwork and  discipline.

After watching Dangal and Sultan, people would be definitely enticed into wrestling especially women and the  eight wrestlers who have been qualified for Rio Olympics will have their morale up before attacking the competitors at Rio and will bring laurels for our country. That’s the message that both of them wanted to give to the public.
