Real estate agent murder case: Accused given 15 days police custody

Rameswar Singh who was arrested in connection with the murder of a real estate developer near Hind Cinema at Bowbazar was produced before Bankshall Court and remanded in police custody till February 15.

The accused on broad day light had stabbed the businessman Budhhadeb Sahani on Friday afternoon. Local traders caught Rameswar Singh after the incident took place and handed him over to the police. Police in their interrogation came to know that the accused met the victim outside Calcutta Girls School on Biplabi Anukul Chandra Street to have a discussion as the latter had taken some money from the former. But he did not return the money despite repeated requests. The incident happened following a heated argument between the two. The accused thereafter stabbed the victim.
