Rawat trying to woo voters by himself

Rawat trying to woo voters by himself
In this chock-a -block situation, he is getting support from cabinet ministers Yashpal Arya and Dinesh Aggarwal in connecting people of all religions and castes.

On Wednesday, he along with UPCC president Yashpal Arya reached Joshimath in Chamoli district. Once a favourite turf of former Congress leader Satpal Maharaj, it has created a vacuum for century year old party when spiritual guru left the party in the mid-way and joined saffron brigade. Now the onus has come on the slender shoulders of Harish to appease and cajole villagers to vote and support Congress.

There, he said that the two years work of ruling state Congress was satisfactory and many development projects started during that time had benefitted the common man.

In his fourth visit to Chamoli district since he assumed CM office on 1 February, he assured people there that this time Char Dham will begin on scheduled time with fool-proof security. He added that the state government is ready to meet any challenge of any form or size.

The state government is committed to check the security and infrastructure maintenance of the regions lying near border.

Although, the name of the Congress nominee for five LS seats has not declared officially from central committee, he assured that the names will be declared within one or two days.
