Rawat for move to make energy conservation part of lifestyle

“We will have to make energy conservation a part of our lifestyle for which collective efforts on part of the state government, institutions working in the sector and individuals are needed,” Rawat said.

Stressing the need for creating public awareness about energy conservation, Rawat said people can be inspired to conserve energy even in their kitchens in a number of ways. He also asked Indian Institute of Petroleum to evolve a method to educate auto-drivers about the importance of fuel efficiency. “We praise other countries for what they are doing in the field of energy conservation but hesitate in adopting their methods,” he said.
