Rao is ONGC Videsh Ltd Director (Ops)

Pasala Krishna Rao took over as Director (Operations) of ONGC Videsh Ltd (OVL), the overseas arm of national hydrocarbon exploration and production (E&P) company Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), on Saturday. Rao, 55, earlier served the energy multinational corporation’s (MNC) Rajahmundry asset as executive director (asset manager), an ONGC release said here on Saturday.
Under him, the Rajahmundry asset made a global mark by selling naphtha produced in the unit’s refinery in the international market. The asset bagged several awards from both statutory and non-statutory bodies.
Rao joined Oil and Natural Gas Corporation in 1982 as assistant executive engineer (drilling). In a career spanning 33 years, he worked in various capacities and spent a substantial part of this period in Assam and more than two decades in field operations in Rajahmundry.
Rao holds Bachelor’s and Master‘s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from AU College of Engineering (Vishakhapatnam) and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Marketing) from IGNOU.
