Ranveer Singh to star in Rohit Shetty’s next

Actor Ranveer Singh, who was last seen on screen in filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Bajirao Mastani, has landed a film by director Rohit Shetty.

Ranveer will soon be working with Shetty, who is known for his snazzy car wreck stunts, action sequences and cool comedies, read a statement from the actor’s representative.

The details of Shetty’s directorial have been kept under wraps. Meanwhile, Ranveer is busy shooting for his next film Befikre, which is helmed by Aditya Chopra, who is making a comeback after a hiatus of seven years. Actor Vaani Kapoor, who made her acting debut in 2013 with the film Shuddh Desi Romance, will be seen starring with the Bajirao Mastani star. 

For most of last year, there were rumours of Rohit and Ranveer coming together for Ram Lakhan remake. Although both had denied the reports, the speculations continued. 

“Rohit is known for the fabulous action in his films, stunts which he choreographs himself along with his stunt masters,” said a source. Ranveer was launched in 2010 by Chopra’s home production company–Yash Raj Films–in Band Baaja Baarat.
