Rani Mukerji-starrer Aiyya was earlier scheduled for a 28 September release, but it has been postponed and now the movie will hit the screens during Dussehra.
Co-produced by Anurag Kashyap and Viacom 18, Aiyya has been directed by Sachin Kundalkar.
‘Yes, we were supposed to release our film on 28 September but now the film has been pushed back. There is no specific reason as such. It is a collective decision taken by Anurag Kashyap and Viacom 18,’ Kundalkar said.
‘Now we are looking at a Dussehra release. It will be releasing in the last week of October,’ he added.
Aiyya is apparently about a woman who finds a man desirable because he smells good and Rani, last seen in No One Killed Jessica, has teamed up with southern actor Prithvi Raj for the movie.
‘I am not really done with the film. The editing is going on in full swing. And Amit Trivedi is composing the music right now,’ said Kundalkar.
