Ramdev walks Kejriwal’s path, will form political party

After political alternative from now defunct Team Anna, Baba Ramdev is all set to provide one. Yoga Guru, on Wednesday he said that a political alternative would be presented to the people of the country within two months to enable a change which serves the interests of the common man.
‘We will bring about a change in the polity by creating an alternative for the people within two months,’ Ramdev said in Chandigargh enroute to Himachal Pradesh, adding, ‘I promise the people (about bringing) a political power in Parliament... we need at least 300 MPs to remove social and economic injustice and put the country on the path of development.’ He, however, said that he was interested neither in joining politics nor in pursuing any political office.
Currently Ramdev is busy fighting with the newly-elected Congress government of Himachal Pradesh over the land issue. After the state government action on his Patanjali Yogpeeth’s land at Solan, he approached the Himachal Pradesh high court, which has ordered for the status quo in respect of the land leased to Patanjali Yogpeeth after revenue officials took possession of it on 22 February over alleged violations.
Ramdev has been vocal against the central government in the last few years and has led demonstrations in the national capital over the issue of black money.
Ramdev’s political alternative would be second after the first being given by the breakaway group of former Team Anna, led by Arvind Kejriwal, and named as the Aam Aadmi Party.
