Rajinder Nagar residents can register complaints online

In the wake of forthcoming assembly elections, slated for December next year, politicians in the city are leaving no stone unturned to garner maximum support from their constituency.

Delhi Transport Minister and MLA from Rajinder Nagar constituency Ramakant Goswami on Sunday formally launched a web site to handle grievances in his constituency.  The system will enable residents of his constituency to directly register any grievance related to MCD, DJB, DDA and PW,D, which will be forwarded to the department concerned after suitable checks and moderations by SMS.

Launching the web site Goswami said, ‘The web site will be disseminating the status of complaints within a week and it will be a novel approach for monitoring of public issues’.

The mechanism will allow the minister to get similar alerts. The web site will also publish the status of the registered complaints on it’s web site after a week.

Goswami said, it will ensure a transparent and impartial system of monitoring of public issues in the area.

This is first of it’s kind in Delhi, with Rajinder Nagar, being first to get this benefit. The website also provides links to all the work being done by the minister as MLA. Infact, it is going to soon have a map of the work being done through the MLA fund in his area.

Around 150 residents representing 28 RWAs were present during the function at Ahinsa Bhawan at Shankar Road. Many residents offered valuable suggestions for modification and additions also in the website. The website was inaugurated by eldest citizen present in the meeting.
