Rajendra Kumar fails to appear before ACB

Rajendra Kumar, secretary to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday failed to appear before Delhi government’s <g data-gr-id="19">Anti Corruption</g> Branch (ACB) after it summoned him and other top officials in transport department connection with an alleged Rs 100-crore CNG fitness scam.

“He (Kumar) was called to help in the investigation today (Friday) but he failed to appear. We will further examine the matter and ask him to join the investigation,” senior ACB official said.

Rajendra Kumar has been reportedly summoned by ACB headed by LG-appointed M K Meena in the scam as he too had headed the transport department earlier.

The ACB has also issued <g data-gr-id="16">summons</g> to about a dozen senior officers in connection with the scam.
Among the officers who have been issued summons are former Transport commissioner Virender Kumar, former additional transport commissioner SM Ali, deputy commissioners DR Arora and RP Gupta, motor licensing officers Ajay Sanal, Magan Singh, Subhash Chand, Ramanathan and motor vehicle inspectors Maharaj Singh and Jagdish Prasad and PCO Vikas Jain. These officers have been issued summons for appearance before the ACB on different dates between August 8 and August 21.
