Rajeev Sharma appointed PFC CMD

Rajeev Sharma was on Wednesday appointed as Chairman and Managing Director of Power Finance Corporation (PFC), a Navratna Public Sector Undertaking. Sharma is presently CMD of Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved appointment of Sharma to the post of CMD, PFC, for a period of five years from the date of assumption of charge, an order issued by Department of Personnel and Training said. He will take over the new responsibility from October 1, 2016 after incumbent M K Goel completes his tenure in September end, it said. Sharma has been the CMD of REC since November 29, 2011.
