Rajeev Mehrotra takes over as RITES CMD

Rajeev Mehrotra has taken over as chairman and managing director [CMD] of RITES Ltd, which is a Mini-Ratna Schedule ‘A’ company of the Union government under the Ministry of Railways since October 11, 2012. Mehrotra had been serving as director [finance] and officiating as managing director for about the last one year.
A fellow member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India [ICAI], Mehrotra carries rich professional experience in the areas of infrastructure, project appraisal, finance, investments and risk management. He has also received advanced training in the area of ‘Financial Management In Power Utilities’ from Stanford University, USA. He was conferred the ‘ICON of the Year’ award this year by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
