Rain spells pleasant weekend

Rain lashed the national Capital, bringing down the mercury and humidity levels.

The minimum temperature settled at 27 degrees Celsius, while the maximum was recorded at 33.9 degrees Celsius, both normal for the season, a MeT official said.

Many parts in the national Capital received rains over the past 24 hours, totalling to 5.8 mm till 8.30 in the morning.

Also, rain washed the city in the evening and 0.2 mm rain was recorded by 5.30 pm, the official said.

Various parts of the city including Palam (0.30 mm), Pusa(2.0 mm), Safdarjung (5.8 mm), Lodhi Road (7.0 mm) and Aya Nagar(20.3 mm) received rain showers while others remained dry.
The humidity oscillated between 63 and 95 per cent.

The weatherman has forecast generally cloudy sky with light showers in many parts of the city over the next 24 hours.
