Rahul Gandhi to address meetings on April 2

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will address three meeting in Burnpur, Asansol and Durgapur on April 2.

Gandhi is likely to address rallies in Chowringhee and Bhowanipore where party veteran Somen Mitra and Dipa Das Munshi are contesting against Nayana Bandopadhyay and Mamata Banerjee.

It may be recalled that Gandhi had supported the alliance though it did not have the nod of the AICC. It was learnt that Congress chairperson Sonia Gandhi will address a rally at Sujapur in Malda. 

Though not in favour of the alliance, Sonia Gandhi succumbed to the pressure of WBPCC leadership. It is to be noted whether any CPI(M) leader shares the dais of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul as not a single CPI(M) leader has taken the name of the Congress and instead urging voters to vote for secular democratic candidates.
