Rahul chauffeurs Sonia in Rae Bareli

Thousands of people lined up for a glimpse of ruling Congress national president Sonia Gandhi who filed her nomination for re-election from Rae Bareli on Wednesday. Sonia is seeking re-election for the fourth term from the parliamentary constituency of Rae Bareli, 100 km south-east of Lucknow. She had won the election by the margin of over 3.70 lakh votes in 2009. ‘People of Rae Bareli have adopted me and I am sure they will continue showering their love and affection on me,’ Sonia said. Her son Rahul Gandhi drove her in an SUV.  ‘There is no contest for Soniaji in Rae Bareli. She will win with a bigger margin this time,’ a local trader said.
