Quacks to be imparted proper medical knowledge

The state health department has decided to start training for the quacks in all districts from January next year.

 The state government has agreed to meet the long standing demands of the quacks in the interior villages who had appealed to the government seeking recognition. It’s beyond doubt that these quacks appear as saviours to human lives in the remote areas where there is no proper health infrastructure.  

 According to a health department official, trainings will be imparted among around 1,10,000 quacks from all the districts. Training camps will be organised in the districts where the doctors from the nearby government establishments will take part to impart knowledge among them. The quacks will be trained on how to treat the patients when they would come to them for treatment.

 A senior official in the health department said that a survey has been done in various villages to know how they help the patients and what type of diseases the quacks treat. They will be asked not to perform surgeryand abortion. They will be imparted knowledge about the rules and regulations of some of the medical ethics.
