Priyanka Chopra in People’s Choice Awards nominations race

Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra’s role in her debut American TV thriller Quantico has earned her a place in the first round of nominations at the People’s Choice Awards.

The 33-year-old Mary Kom star plays the lead role of a young FBI recruit Alex Parish on the show and she is among the 15 actors, who are <g data-gr-id="25">vyying</g> for a final nod in the favourite actor in a new TV series category.

Priyanka says she is honoured to have been considered for a nomination at the award show which recognises people and the work of popular <g data-gr-id="28">culture,</g> and is voted by the general public.

The former Miss World has been shortlisted alongside Amber Valletta, Betsy Brandt, Calista Flockhart, Christina Milian, Dianne Wiest, Jamie Lee Curtis, Meagan Good, Emma Roberts, Erika Christensen, Jamie Alexander, Jennifer Carpenter, Lea Michele, Marcia Gay Harden and Melissa Benoist.

The final list of nomination will feature <g data-gr-id="21">upto</g> five names, which will be decided by fan voting.
Quantico recently got <g data-gr-id="20">order</g> for six more episodes from ABC.
