Private bus mows down two in Sector V

A private car mowed down two persons at Salt Lake Sector V on Saturday morning.

Police said, the speeding car was coming from New Town, hit two persons on the road, but could not escape from there. Local people caught the accused driver. He was initially beaten up and handed to the cops of Bidhannagar Electronics Complex Police station. The injured persons were taken to Bidhannagar Sub Divisional Hospital.

In another incident, a private bus of Route 32/A hit an auto rickshaw near PNB island, at Salt Lake on Saturday morning. The auto driver received injuries and he was taken to Bidhannagar Sub Divisional Hospital.
