Pregnant woman ‘jumps off’ building in Sector 82, Noida

The body has been sent for postmortem examination and police are awaiting its results before taking further action.
According to police, Shailja Jain was found lying in a pool of blood by the security guards of Kendriya Vihar society at 8 am on Thursday morning. They immediately informed the victim’s husband and neighbours who rushed her to the nearby Yatharth Hospital where she was declared dead. The doctors also informed the family that the woman was pregnant.
Shailja had married Anurag Jain, an employee working with Reliance Group last year, and was living with her husband and mother in law on the 5th floor of the apartment. Both were present in the flat when the incident took place. The police had detained both Anurjag Jain and his mother during the initial investigation. However they later arrested Shailja’s own family members and have suspected their hand in her death.
