Police say JJ Colony murder solved

Two days after the naked body of a man was found lying near a park at JJ Colony in south east Delhi, police claimed to have solved the case with the arrest of four people. Ram Kishore was found murdered on Friday.
According to the police, the murder was committed in a fit of rage because Kishore refused to give the accused his matchbox. ‘He was lying drunk in the park when the four accused came and one of them asked him for a matchbox. A heated argument started after the victim refused to give it,’ a police officer said.

Three of those accused are minors, police said. The fourth accused has been identified as Raj Kumar alias Gorkha who is around 20-year-old. ‘They all have been arrested after investigating the case. All the accused are neighbours of the victim,’ the officer said.
‘The post-mortem report of the body found an iron rod inside the body which was inserted through Kishore’s private parts and a major eye injury which led to the death of the man,’ the police officer added.

The accused have reportedly accepted that they committed the crime.
The victim’s family confirmed that there was no enmity between Kishore and the accused and the murder could have been committed in a fit of rage.
