According to Special Additional and Joint Commissioner of Police <g data-gr-id="22">(TP)</g> Supratim Sarkar, “It was a pre-planned act by the Left supporters during yesterday’s march to Lalbazar.”

Talking about one Left Front supporter being critically injured in the clash and who was now fighting for life at a city hospital, DC Central Bastab Baidya said: “It’s an absolute lie. Our officers found that the person fell down at his home and injured himself in the process.”
