Police arrest man wanted in murder case

 Special Cell of Delhi police arrested a man who was wanted for the murder of his associate by setting him on fire, police said on Monday.

The accused Rohit Kumar was caught by a team of Special Cell from a traffic intersection near Gagan Cinema in <g data-gr-id="13">Wajirabad</g>. Three <g data-gr-id="14"><g data-gr-id="21">country</g> made</g> pistols and 18 live cartridges were also recovered from him, said Rajiv Ranjan, DCP of Special Cell. Rohit was introduced to car jacking by his associate Vijay and they were believed to be involved in car jacking cases in Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida.

The accused confessed to have committed murder of his friend and associate Vijay with whom he claimed to be involved in several cases of car jacking, which are being verified, the officer said. 

Rohit suspected that he was being cheated by Vijay and was not getting his fair share in the loots they committed together. When he asked Vijay about it, he was humiliated by the latter. After this, Rohit made a plan to kill Vijay and set him on fire while he was sleeping on August 3.
