PoK is an Indian territory: BJP veteran Joshi
After the central ministers now the incumbent Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) veteran Murali Manohar Joshi asserted on Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) on Sunday and claimed that, “It is Indian territory.” He also supported the intervening surgical strikes of September 28 and 29 and said, “The Army had taken correct step of conducting surgical strikes.”
The senior BJP leader has also mentioned that whoever is opposing the surgical strikes inside Pakistan is wrong. “PoK is a part of our nation and it is the resolution of the Parliament that Kashmir is a part of our country. So, these infiltrators entered our territory and attacked, and finally, we took action. It was a well thought out step and has come at the right moment,” Joshi said.
In the wake of recent incessant ceasefire violations by Pakistani Army and its alleged connection with terror activities, Joshi added, “We have to be careful as there are many agents of Pakistan in our country.”
The Indian Army conducted surgical strikes on terror launch pads across the Line of Control (LoC) in response to the terrorist attack at Uri sector. Two Pakistani soldiers and over 30 terrorists were reportedly killed in the attack.
Director General of Military Operations, Lieutenant General Ranbir Singh on Wednesday said that the motive of the operation was to hit out at the terrorists who were planning to infiltrate into the Indian territory.
Lt General Singh informed that significant casualty was caused to terrorists during the operation.
