PM to pay bilateral visit to Germany

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will be visiting Germany on Wednesday to participate in the second round of Inter Governmental Consultations with Germany. He will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, including external affairs minister Salman Khurshid.

Singh will arrive in Berlin on the Wednesday evening and will be hosted for dinner by the German Chancellor Angela Merkel. He will be accorded a Ceremonial Welcome at the German State Chancellery in the next morning, after which he will jointly chair the Inter Governmental Consultations with the German Chancellor, the source said.

India and Germany have been celebrating the 60th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
