PM did nothing to douse Kashmir flames, says Rahul

The Amethi MP claimed that Kashmir was otherwise peaceful for almost a decade when Congress led collation was in power. The Valley has been simmering even since terrorist Burhan Wani was killed. There has been curfew imposed since July and so far around 81 people have lost their lives.  He even cited example of Jat agitation in Haryana and the prevailing tension in Assam.

“The one thing that Narendra Modi knows the best is how to pit one person against the other..Narendra Modi only makes one person fight against the other and this hampers the development of the country.

In Haryana, Jats were put up against non-Jats...in Kashmir, which was peaceful during the Congress government, people are fighting against each other. In UP and Assam too, the same happened,” said Gandhi at the culmination of his road show in Mirzapur.

Gandhi added that his party has always promote peace and harmony among various communities, castes and religion. “Congress party wants and works to ensure that people from all castes, religion should come together. When people ill come together and work then growth happens,” said Gandhi.

Congress VP is on a 2,500 km long Kisan Yatra which started from Deoria. His yatra was halted for two days due to festivals. It resumed from Mirzapur wherein Congress Vice President addressed two Khat Sabha and carried out roadshow in Mirzapur district.

During his Khat Sabha at Marihan, Congress Vice President referred to BJP’s 2014 election campaign that each Indian could get Rs 15 lakh if all black money stashed abroad was brought back. “I have travelled across the country but haven’t found a single person who said that he has received Rs 15 lakh in his account. Am still searching for such a person,” said the Congress leader.
