PIL filed in Delhi High Court against Veerbhadra Singh

A public interest litigation (PIL) has been filed in the Delhi high court against Himachal Pradesh chief minister Veerbhadra Singh for alleged corruption, money laundering and possession of assets dispropotionate to the known source of income.

The PIL, filed by NGO Common Cause before the bench of chief justice N Ramana and justice Manmohan, has sought a court-supervised CBI probe against Himachal Pradesh CM Virbhadra Singh for alleged corruption and amassing of disproportionate assets. It seeks a direction to CBI and the DG Income Tax (Investigations) to initiate an investigation under the supervision of the court and/or the CVC, against Singh.
