Kuala Lumpur may be one of the modern metropolises of South-East Asia but it has a history that dates back to the mid 19th century. Although the literal meaning of its name is ‘Muddy Confluence’ as it is on the banks of Sungai Lumpur, it is a city which is combining it’s past and present like never before. The most populous city in the nation, Kuala Lumpur is spread over 200 square kilometers and now merges with neighboring suburbs to create a hub of activity and commerce.
